Kohler Productions teamed up with the creative brains of the Minneapolis Youth Congress and the ST. Paul Youth Commission to create a script for Metro Man and Light Rail Lady. This large scale collaboration brings together the Minneapolis Public Schools and Metro Transit for high school students to ride the the bus. In order to get their GOTO passes, they will need to watch a video highlighting safety and etiquet on public transportation.
On July 1st shooting took place in a South Minneapolis garage with a full size cow for Kohler Production’s Motion Poem to be released in August. Motion Poems is a nonprofit collaboration between poets and filmmakers and annimators for the benefit of broadening the audience of poetry. This film is an interpretation of a Bib Hicock’s poem about the BP Oil Spill.
A fourth grade math class at the Partnership Academy charter school gained more then one years worth of skills this school year and to celebrate, Kohler Productions produced a short video highlighting some of the students dreams for the future.
The 12th episode of Butter City’s season three airs this month on TPT, marking the final premiere of another successful year of highlighting Minnesota filmmaking. The show is gearing up for a fourth season to begin filming in the summer of 2012.
